Pete Episcopo is a digital media instructor who serves as a lead teacher in the development and operation of the Academy for Digital Arts and Media in Viera, Florida. The academy is a four-year program at Viera High School covering Visual Design for Print & Web, 3-D Modeling, Motion Graphics and Effects, Animation, HD Broadcasting, and Audio Production for Music and Film.
Episcopo is also a presenter/speaker for various technology workshops and functions. He continues to be available in an advisory capacity for Career and Technical Education committees for Brevard Public Schools and the Florida State Department of Education.
In late 2005, Episcopo left the performance and management side of digital media and took a position that was a "perfect fit" with the Brevard School District, initiating a new media curriculum for the recently constructed Viera High School. Since then, scores of students have earned their Adobe Certified Associate certification and have won top honors at county and state media competitions.
Episcopo's enthusiasm and vision for industry-certified, project-based CT&E programs are the driving force behind his work in the field of education. He is a BA graduate of Seton Hall University and an Adobe Certified Associate. Episcopo keeps his own skills sharp by doing freelance work with his own private venture, BackYard Sky Media.
