Ross Wallis has taken a leading role in exploring digital creativity since the late 1980s. He is recognized as an effective, enthusiastic, and inspirational teacher to students as well as other instructors, able to demonstrate that Adobe digital tools provide more than simply a means to create great images. He encourages learners to consider their own creativity — to focus on the kind of art they want to create — and then use digital imaging tools to easily express those creative ideas.
His favorite projects have included setting up and running Art-Exchange, a Hewlett-Packard project for encouraging students across Europe to swap cultural experiences by sharing their digital artwork, and creating "Exploring Digital Arts," an interactive CD for art departments seeking to embrace digital technologies in teaching. He also developed a digital curriculum for the Sidcot School Art department and has trained numerous organizations in digital skills.
Wallis is an Apple Distinguished Educator working with the Apple Creativity Regional Training Centre program.
