Susan Bell teaches senior Vocational Education and Training (VET) multimedia and IT courses at Marist Regional College. The courses instruct students on how to design websites, create animations, program, and design graphics.
Bell is also involved in the professional development of teachers of multimedia/media through her involvement with various teaching associations including Pixeled — the multimedia teachers association that she helped establish. She runs workshops, writes training materials, and provides support and advice. Bell is particularly interested in collaborating on research projects and has worked with Melbourne University and Swinburne University on a project titled "More Bytes" to encourage girls to study for IT careers.
Bell has an undergraduate qualification in multimedia/media and a master's in creative writing.
She presents at conferences around Australia and runs successful workshops using various Adobe products. Currently she is also involved in creating opportunities for women at midlife to develop software skills.
