Liquid Layout
Apply page layout rules to pages or objects to define how pages and objects are automatically adapted when the layout orientation or size changes. Page layout rules make designing for multiple page sizes and orientations more efficient — whether you are designing for a print workflow, digital workflow, or both.
Alternate layout
Efficiently create and design multiple versions of a layout — for multiple devices or for different orientations on the same device — within a single InDesign file.
Linked content
Link content within or across InDesign documents, so that changes (including interactivity) made to the parent text or object are applied to all linked children objects.
Persistent text frame-fitting options
Set frames to grow with additional text, based on simple parameters. Grow and shrink frames automatically for headlines, callouts, or other variable content.
Place HTML
Include interactive HTML — such as Google Maps and animation developed with Adobe Edge™ — in InDesign layouts. Interactivity is retained in export to HTML, EPUB3, or .folio for Adobe Digital Publishing Suite.*
Improved preflighting
Create your own rules according to the unique needs of your customers or solution. InDesign Server offers extensible preflighting capabilities, including verification of color spaces, image resolution, and overset text.
*InDesign uses EPUB3 and HTML5 code to create eBooks with audio, video, and other advanced features. EPUB3 and HTML5 presentation, media playback, and double-byte character support (such as Chinese, Japanese, and Korean) may not be supported by all devices, browsers, or EPUB readers.
