Adobe InMarket

PLEASE READ: After reviewing our efforts and based on feedback from developers, we have decided that we will deliver the most value by helping developers author and publish their apps on multiple platforms. Given this focus, we have decided to discontinue development and support of Adobe InMarket. We are going to continue to provide support for publishing to different app stores through our tooling. The recent Flash Builder 4.5 and Flash Professional CS5.5 provide support for publishing to multiple mobile platforms including Android and Apple iOS devices.

Given this shift, we are not accepting any new applications through Adobe InMarket. If you have published applications on Intel AppUp center, Intel should send you login credentials to the Intel AppUp developer program by August 31, 2011. This should let you manage your applications and view data associated with your applications published on Intel AppUp.

After August 31, 2011, you will not be able to login to the Adobe InMarket portal. Please download any analytics before this date including revenue reports you wish to keep for your use as all data associated with InMarket will be inaccessible to you after this date.

Concurrent with this change to InMarket, we are also closing Adobe AIR Marketplace. When we established Adobe AIR Marketplace three years ago, there were few distribution opportunities for AIR developers. There are now several app stores on desktops, mobile devices and tablets that service AIR developers including Apple App Store, Android Market, BlackBerry App World, Intel AppUp center, Samsung Apps, and Toshiba App Place. We encourage you to use these newer popular app stores to distribute your applications.

As before, Adobe will continue to provide the best technologies and solutions so that developers and publishers can create, distribute and monetize content.

FAQs:

I have my application published on Intel AppUp center through Adobe InMarket. How do I continue to manage the application?
If you have published applications to the Intel AppUp center, Intel should send you an email within the next several days with important information on how you can continue to publish, track and sell your applications through the Intel AppUp center. This should let you manage and view analytics for applications distributed through Intel AppUp. As before, you should continue to be paid directly by Intel (to your PayPal account) for any applications sold through the Intel AppUp center.

I have submitted my application to be published to Intel AppUp center through Adobe InMarket. The status shows that the application is in the validation queue. What will happen to my application?
If you have an application in the InMarket validation queue, we will review your application and send it to Intel for publication. However, you should transition to the Intel AppUp developer program when Intel sends you the login.  If you have any difficulty, please contact Intel at appdeveloper.support@intel.com for assistance.

I have my application published through Adobe InMarket. How do I download analytics?
After you log into the InMarket Portal, go in the "Data Grid" view of "Reports". You will find a button to "Copy to Clipboard". You can then paste this data into a spreadsheet and save it.

Until when will the InMarket URL to my hosted app work?
The InMarket URL will be terminated on August 31. If you have a Flash install badge pointing to this URL, then you will have to update your badge by providing a new hosted URL for your application.

How can I distribute application upgrades?
You will not be able to distribute upgrades for applications distributed through Adobe AIR Marketplace. If your application is distributed through Intel AppUp, once you have login credentials from Intel, you should be able to use the Intel AppUp mechanism to distribute upgrades.
