Never Sleep - Graphic Design and Direction Without Clients: Andre Andreev and G. Dan Covert of dress code will talk about doing work that they are not qualified for, clients that don't exist and the way they make money.
Live Broadcast Remixing - When informercials meet motion graphics: As part of Sosolimited, John performs live audiovisual remixes of television. John has spent years developing custom performance software allowing Sosolimited to digitize and transform live content in real-time. John will discuss how he moves from design concept to computer program to live performance and will demonstrate the algorithms behind the performance.
Spilling Ideas into Reality: This talk will cover a wide range of media: design, art direction, animation and video. In an era of powerful computers, advanced software and multiple solution paths, Asif will discuss how ideas are more important than ever in wading through the oceans of created content. Ideas can be successfully executed by creating a workflow that creates layers of complexity and detail on top of a strong initial concept. Think freely and execute strongly.
Debbie Millman Book Signing: During the Sunday night welcome reception, stop by the Adobe booth to meet and receive an autographed book from Debbie Millman, designer and author of “How to think like a Great Graphic Designer”.
Follow Your “Art” It’s easy to get stereotyped in our industry. Yet, as creative souls we all have multiple interests and a desire to pursue them. This 30 minute session will explore how an inspiring project for the Sundance Film Festival re-awakened Joan’s passion for filmmaking and allowed her to reinvent her career and work.
