| Session Description: | Jesse will cover how to make the most of using Flash & Flex together in applications from a designer's perspective. The session will focus mainly on using Flash in a supporting role for Flex applications from a design standpoint. One facet of Flash is design, and it allows the creation of useful content that cannot be created in Flex alone. Creating design-specific content in the form of animations, audio, and video combinations allows for an even Richer experience in Rich Internet Applications. This also bridges the skill gap between artists and programmers, fulfilling a great and necessary bridge in the production art workflow. Through live examples, you'll learn how Flash can benefit your Flex applications, your workflow, and put them a cut above the rest. Jesse will explain the main techniques for implementing designs typically created in Flash & Photoshop, as well as quickly identifying "make or break" points to make sure you aren't doing something in Flex you should probably do in Flash instead, and vice-versa. |
