| Session Description: |
In this session, we will extend and deepen our knowledge gained in other sessions, and dive into some of the APIs and SDKs exposed by various LiveCycle products.
In particular, we’ll learn how to:
- connect to various LiveCycle products
- use the Object Definition Editor (ODE) and the Persistent Object Framework (POF) to navigate the object hierarchy, and retrieve useful information from the LiveCycle repository
- use ProcessManager to invoke a new process programmatically
- use TaskManager to programmatically reassign a task to a different user
- expose a workflow “orchestration” as a web service
- invoke a workflow orchestration from a Form
- form tricks, including the “two button invocation” pattern
- open a PDF using the DataManager and PDFManipulation services
- sign a document using Document Security Server APIs
- design, build, deploy and test a custom QPAC (time permitting)
We recommend some background with the following products, or that you attend the sessions on these topics:
- LiveCycle Workflow
- LiveCycle Document Security Server
- LiveCycle Designer
This will be a hands-on session, with attendees developing code using various LiveCycle APIs. Familiarity with Java development is recommended, but if you’re new to Java, you can pair with someone more experienced or just watch.
