Summary For Acrobat, specifies whether to send usage measurement data back to Adobe and controls the welcome screen.
Details See also optin for a user-level setting. Possible values include:
  • 0: Don't send usage details to Adobe, and disable the welcome screen.
  • 1: Send usage details.
For products prior to DC, this preference controlled user participation in the feedback program and disabled the associated UI. For example, 0 would disable and lock feedback program participation. For 12.x and later products, it also disables the welcome screen on startup.

Details This setting is not used for Reader or any product prior to DC. On Windows, this preference resides in HKCU\Software\Adobe\CommonFiles\UsageCC\(user GUID). The GUID is a unique value the application assigns to the signed-in user. Possible values include:
  • 0: Don't send data.
  • 1: Do send data.
