Senior Account Manager


Position Summary

Account Management (AM) provides post-sale account relationship management to achieve renewal and account satisfaction goals and objectives, as well as facilitate access for other Adobe groups to the external customer/partner. The primary goal of AM is to ensure account satisfaction and help customers/partners identify ways to capitalize their investment in Adobe solutions. Account Managers support strategic, key, major, mid-market and channel partner accounts. Given the nature of their work, Account Managers work cross-functionally with external customers, channel partners and a host of internal parties, including other groups in Customer Care, Consulting Services, Sales, Engineering, Product Management, and Marketing.



Responsibilities

  • Act as a lead Account Manager providing strategic and operational management of customer accounts, including relationship building, ensuring SLAs are consistently executed, managing renewals and identifying/qualifying new sales opportunities for Adobe products and services. Typically assigned larger and/or more complex accounts by comparison to other Account Managers.
  • Develops and maintains a strong, in-depth relationship with assigned accounts, including executive-level decision makers and other influencers and stakeholders.
  • Plays a lead role in providing his/her manager and others with key account insights, needs, requirements and recommendations.
  • Works with sales partners to develop quarterly, annual and potentially longer-range account development plans. Includes renewal and new revenue targets, account satisfaction and other financial, business, and operational goals and targets.
  • Effectively and efficiently on-boards accounts to ensure they understand the scope of AM programs.
  • Facilitates expert responses and trouble-shooting support to assigned accounts.
  • Accountable for ensuring the renewal of all assigned accounts. This includes providing an accurate renewal forecast throughout the renewal process and supporting other functions as required to address purchase order, billing and/or collection issues.
  • As assigned or otherwise appropriate, helps his/her manager on-board, train, coach and mentor other team members within Account Management.


Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent
  • 6 or more years related experience in technology (consulting, business development, sales engineering, technical support engineering, customer service, etc.)
  • Experience in selling or supporting CRM and/or Marketing technology solutions is preferred
  • Direct Sales or Consulting experience in technology is preferred
  • Problem escalation management and project management experience is preferred
  • Proven abilities to effectively build and maintain customer relationships
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Works collaboratively, effectively and efficiently with others
  • Good influencing & negotiation skills
  • Must be fluent in Japanese and able to communicate in English
