Allowing users to search for a topic
You can provide users with a list of pages focused on a specific topic. What makes this approach work is that you use a topic both as the keyword you assign to the pages where the topic appears and as the preset text in the Word field of the Find dialog box.
See Setting up a navigation link or Navigating with hot text.
To allow users to search for a topic:
-
Tag each page with the keyword for the topic it contains.
See Assigning a keyword to a page.
-
Select a term that you want to link to other pages that deal with the same topic.
-
Set up the Search destination type:
- Type the keyword you've used for the topic in the Pre-Set Text field. Enclose it in quotation marks.
- Limit the search to keywords.
- Select Search Immediately.
For information about setting up the Search destination type, see Allowing users to search for a page.
