Loading a DLL custom function in the Functions dialog box

To load a DLL function in the Functions dialog box:

  1. Select Window > Functions.
  2. Select the name of the file you're working on in the Category pull-down list.

The names of the custom functions you've already loaded appear.

  3. Click Load.
  4. Select the file that contains the function you want to use and click Open.

Another dialog box appears that lists the functions contained in the file.

  5. Select the function you want, and then click Load.

For details, see Loading DLLs that don't follow Authorware conventions.

  6. Paste the function you've loaded into the Calculation window or dialog box field where you want to use it.

For more information, see Using a DLL custom function.

When you package for the Macintosh, DLLs aren't converted. You need to use Xtra extensions or XCMDs for custom functions on the Macintosh.
