Sessions by Track
- The MAX 2003 sessions were grouped into four tracks, designed to help you locate the sessions most applicable to your job. The four tracks were:
- Client Side Development: This track explored the use of client-side scripting tools such as ActionScript to create more robust and responsive interfaces and minimize calls to the server. These sessions focused on topics like accessing web services directly from the client, implementing streaming media, creating applications that can be used on or offline, and more.
- Design: This track explored the powerful array of Macromedia design tools. Sessions focused on learning how to: take advantage of Dreamweaver's enhanced CSS support; leverage the product integration within Studio; streamline your Director development; and take your Macromedia Flash UI design skills to a new level.
- Experience Matters: This track addressed the big picture of putting together great user experiences on the internet. Sessions addressed issues such as accessibility, usability of visual interfaces, and standards for Internet content, and other considerations experts in design consider in creating better user experiences.
- Server Side Development: Effective server-side programming is the core of effective internet applications. This track showed how to take your server-side development to the next level by component-izing your applications, architecting for maximum flexibility and reusability, and building powerful hybrid solutions through the use of web services. Session attendees learned about advanced features of ColdFusion, as well as how to use the Macromedia Flash Communication Server, XML and Java to build more robust applications.
The conference program was designed to enable emerging and seasoned developers and designers to expand their knowledge, learn practical skills, gain an edge, and be inspired.
Note: Hands-on sessions were taught on Windows unless otherwise noted.
