MACROMEDIA FLASH PLAYER SUPPORT ANNOUNCED FOR TOSHIBA GENIO DEVICE

San Francisco and Tokyo—May 28, 2002—Macromedia, Inc. (Nasdaq: MACR) and Toshiba Corp. today announced that Macromedia Flash Player support is available for the Toshiba's GENIO e550G in the Japanese market. Macromedia Flash Player is the leading rich client for Internet content and applications across the broadest range of platforms and devices. Macromedia Flash MX contains new features and templates that enable rapid creation of content and applications for Internet-enabled devices.
