How do I register my Adobe software?
There are several ways to register your software purchase with Adobe, depending on the product you are registering:
  • Adobe Photoshop Elements 4.0 Windows and Macintosh (North America only)
    After installing the Adobe Photoshop Elements software and opening the software for the first time, a registration screen will prompt you to register your software. The process takes just a few minutes to complete and only requires you to provide just your country, name, and e-mail address, after which the information will be sent to Adobe via the Internet. If you aren't ready to register, you can choose to have the product remind you to register periodically. If you've already completed installation, choose Help > Registration from the menu toolbar.
  • Adobe Photoshop Elements 4.0 Windows (United Kingdom only)
    In order to receive an additional complimentary registration benefit, you must register your Adobe Photoshop Elements software at www.adobe.com/pse_welcome. The process takes just a few minutes to complete. You may also register within the product; however you will not be eligible to receive an additional complimentary registration benefit. When opening the software the first time, a registration screen will prompt you to register your software or choose to register later. If you choose to register at a later time, you can register by choosing Help > Registration from the menu toolbar.
  • Adobe Premiere Elements 2.0 (North America and United Kingdom only)
    In order to receive an additional complimentary registration benefit, you must register your Adobe Photoshop Elements software at www.adobe.com/pre_welcome. The process takes just a few minutes to complete. You may also register within the product; however you will not be eligible to receive an additional complimentary registration benefit. When opening the software the first time, a registration screen will prompt you to register your software or choose to register later. If you choose to register at a later time, you can register by choosing Help > Registration from the menu toolbar.
  • Adobe Photoshop Elements 4.0 plus Premiere Elements 2.0 Bundle
    In order to receive a complimentary registration benefit for both products, you must register each individual product as described above. Each software product must be registered separately.
  • Previous versions of Adobe Photoshop Elements, Premiere Elements or Adobe Photoshop Elements plus Premiere Elements Bundle
    For previous versions of Adobe Photoshop Elements, Premiere Elements and Adobe Photoshop Elements plus Premiere Elements Bundle, you can register online.
  • Adobe Photoshop Elements 4.0, Adobe Premiere Elements 2.0, or Adobe Photoshop Elements 4.0 plus Premiere Elements 2.0 Bundle in other regions
    All other regions can register online to receive standard registration benefits, including complimentary technical support, access to tips and tutorials, and product announcements and updates.

How do I register my software if I don't have Internet access?
You can also register your Adobe software by contacting Adobe Customer Service in your region. For Adobe Photoshop Elements 4.0 and Premiere Elements 2.0, registration over the phone qualifies you for complimentary technical support, tips and tutorials, updates, and special offers, but does not qualify you for an additional complimentary registration benefit.back to top
How does Adobe use my registration information?
Adobe uses registration information to provide you with technical support and updates. If you opt in to receive communication from Adobe, you will be notified of special upgrades, pricing offers, and events and seminars in your area. What is an Adobe ID?
To sign in to the Adobe Store or to access tips and tutorials and Adobe Studio Exchange within Resource Center, you must have an Adobe ID. You receive an Adobe ID when you register your Adobe application. Each time you sign in with your ID, Adobe will recognize you as a unique Adobe user. You also need your Adobe ID to access and update your account profile and communication preferences on the your account page of Adobe.com.back to top
I already have an Adobe ID. Will I be assigned a new one when I register my Adobe application?
If you already have an Adobe ID and the information you enter when registering matches the information in your Adobe ID account, the registration system will associate your new registration with your existing Adobe ID. If the information you enter does not match your existing Adobe ID account, the registration system will create a new account — and new Adobe ID — for you. This will typically be your e-mail address. If a new Adobe ID is assigned to you during the registration process, you will be prompted to create a password upon visiting certain areas of Resource Center, the Adobe Store, or to update your account information.back to top
Can I update my information after I've already registered?
Yes. You can update your contact information or your communication preferences on the your account page of Adobe.com. You will need your Adobe ID (typically your e-mail address) and password to access your account information.back to top
I've already registered previous versions of my software. Do I need to register again once I upgrade or purchase new products?
Yes. To be eligible for complimentary technical support and any other product-specific benefits, you need to register each product version. In addition, knowing what version of software you own helps us provide you with relevant information when we communicate with you.back to top
I bought my software online through the Adobe Store. Do I have to register in-product?
If you've purchased the Electronic Software Download (ESD) version of your Adobe software from the Adobe Store, your serial number is registered automatically and you are not required to register your product again. ESD registration of products does not qualify you to receive an additional complimentary registration benefit. If you've purchased the shrinkwrapped or volume license version of your Adobe software, your serial number is not automatically registered and you need to register using one of the methods outlined under "How do I register my Adobe software?" above.back to top

I registered, but haven't received information regarding how to acquire my complimentary registration benefit. What can I do?
If you have not received a confirmation e-mail about how to obtain your benefit, you may have a spam filter on your e-mail account. Check your e-mail spam folder, or if you are using your company's e-mail system, check with your systems operator to see if the e-mail was blocked. If you can't locate the confirmation e-mail, contact Adobe Customer Service in your region.back to top
