Algemene informatie over de beëindiging van Adobe Flash Player

Sinds 31 december 2020 biedt Adobe geen ondersteuning meer voor Flash Player en sinds 12 januari 2021 blokkeert Adobe het uitvoeren van Flash-content in Flash Player. Adobe raadt alle gebruikers ten sterkste aan om Flash Player direct te verwijderen om hun systemen beter te beveiligen.
Sommige gebruikers ontvangen mogelijk nog herinneringen van Adobe om Flash Player van hun systeem te verwijderen. Hieronder vind je instructies voor het verwijderen van Flash Player.
Adobe biedt sinds 31 december 2020 ('beëindigingsdatum') geen ondersteuning meer voor Flash Player, zoals eerder aangekondigd in juli 2017.
Open standaarden zoals HTML5, WebGL en WebAssembly zijn in de loop der jaren steeds verder ontwikkeld en bieden een goed alternatief voor Flash-content. Bovendien integreren leveranciers van populaire browsers deze open standaarden in hun browsers en worden de meeste andere plug-ins (zoals Flash Player) buiten gebruik gesteld. Adobe heeft het einde van de ondersteuning meer dan drie jaar van tevoren aangekondigd om ontwikkelaars, ontwerpers, bedrijven en andere partijen voldoende tijd te geven om Flash-content te migreren naar nieuwe standaarden. De tijdlijn voor het beëindigen van de ondersteuning is afgestemd met enkele leveranciers van populaire browsers.
Na de beëindigingsdatum brengt Adobe geen updates of beveiligingspatches voor Flash Player meer uit. Adobe raadt alle gebruikers ten sterkste aan om Flash Player direct te verwijderen. Sinds 12 januari 2021 blokkeert Adobe het uitvoeren van Flash-content in Flash Player, zodat je systeem beter beveiligd is. Leveranciers van populaire browsers hebben Flash Player uitgeschakeld.
Als je Flash Player niet verwijdert, blijft het op je systeem staan. Na de beëindigingsdatum brengt Adobe geen updates of beveiligingspatches voor Flash Player meer uit. Klik op 'Uninstall' (Verwijderen) als daarom wordt gevraagd door Adobe of volg deze instructies voor Windows- en Mac-gebruikers om Flash Player handmatig te verwijderen.
Omdat Adobe na de beëindigingsdatum geen ondersteuning meer biedt voor Flash Player, blokkeert Adobe het uitvoeren van Flash-content in Flash Player sinds 12 januari 2021, zodat je systeem beter beveiligd is. Als je Flash Player niet verwijdert, blijft het op je systeem staan.
Flash Player wordt door steeds minder browsers en besturingssystemen ondersteund. Daarom raadt Adobe alle gebruikers ten sterkste aan om Flash Player direct te verwijderen.
