Movable holes and more with compound paths
It's well known that Adobe® InDesign® is a first-rate page layout program — but it's not too shabby at creating vector graphics either! In this clip from "Total InDesign," Deke McClelland shows you how to create compound paths with InDesign. By drawing a green "doughnut," Deke demonstrates the unique properties of compound paths. He also shows how it's possible to select and move the doughnut's "hole" independently from the outer shape. The next time you're tempted to jump over into Adobe Illustrator® to create vector objects, why not instead give InDesign's powerful drawing tools a try?
