System requirements

To purchase an Adobe® Acrobat® Connect™ Pro solution, you can choose either the hosted server version or license your own enterprise server version that can be deployed behind your firewall or by a managed services provider in a FISMA-compliant environment. If you're interested in the licensed version, refer to the following Acrobat Connect Pro Server system requirements information.

Acrobat Connect Pro software includes support for the following languages: Brazilian Portuguese, Chinese Simplified, Dutch, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Russian, Spanish, and Turkish.

Database requirements

Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Express Edition with Service Pack 3 (Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Standard Edition with Service Pack 3 recommended)

Shared storage requirements

For deploying Acrobat Connect Pro Server with network attached storage or storage area networks, the following specifications are recommended:

  • Disk specs: 10,000–15,000 RPM — Fibre Channel preferred
  • Network link: TCP/IP — 1GB I/O throughput or better
  • Controller: Dual controllers with Active/Active multipatch capability
  • Protocol: CIFS or equivalent

Note that your needs may vary depending on deployment size and usage.

Port requirements 1935 (RTMP), 80 or other HTTP port, 443 if SSL is enabled, 25 for SMTP (optional), 1433 for external database (optional)
LDAP directory servers

For deploying Acrobat Connect Pro Server with directory services integration, any LDAP-compliant directories. The following LDAP directory servers have been tested with Acrobat Connect Pro:

  • Active Directory Application Mode (ADAM) with Service Pack 1 for Windows Server 2003
  • Active Directory (Windows Server 2003) Windows Server 2003 and later
  • Active Directory (Windows 2000 Server)
  • IBM Tivoli Directory Server 6.1

Adobe Acrobat Connect Pro Edge Server 7.5

Universal Voice using Flash Media Gateway

In order to use Universal Voice, you will need to install and configure Flash Media Gateway. Flash Media Gateway needs to be configured to place calls through a SIP-compliant end point that allows calls to be routed to your preferred audio conferencing service.

While Flash Media Gateway can be installed on the same system as the application server, it is recommended that it be installed on a separate system.

  • TCP/IP — 100Mbps (1Gbps recommended)
  • Port 5060 TCP
  • An additional two ports are required for each concurrent meeting that uses Universal Voice. These ports are configured as a range (example: 5,000–6,000 would support 500 meetings using Universal Voice).

Adobe Acrobat Connect Pro Add-in for Microsoft Outlook

If you want to schedule Acrobat Connect Pro meetings within Outlook, you must install the Acrobat Connect Add-in for Microsoft Outlook on each system that has Outlook installed. The following hardware and software are required.

Adobe Acrobat Connect Pro Add-in for IBM Lotus Notes

If you want to schedule Acrobat Connect Pro meetings within IBM Lotus Notes, you must install the Acrobat Connect Add-in for IBM Lotus Notes on each system that has Lotus Notes installed. The following hardware and software are required.

Adobe Acrobat Connect Pro Collaboration Builder SDK

To develop applications for use with Adobe Acrobat Connect Pro, you must install the Collaboration Builder MXP plug-in for Adobe Flash CS4 Professional software. The Collaboration Builder software development kit (SDK) system requirements are the same as those for Flash CS4 Professional. Collaboration Builder applications should be compiled for Flash Player 7 and ActionScript® 2.0.

If you are using Collaboration Builder applications in Acrobat Connect Pro, you need to adhere to the standard Acrobat Connect Pro participant requirements.
