System requirements

To purchase an Adobe® Acrobat® Connect™ Pro solution, you can choose either the hosted server version or license your own enterprise server version and deploy the software behind your firewall. If you're interested in the licensed version, read the Acrobat Connect Pro Server system requirements information below.

Acrobat Connect Pro software includes support for the following languages: Brazilian Portuguese, Chinese Simplified, Dutch, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, and Spanish.

  • Minimum 80GB of hard-disk space for content storage; disk space requirements will increase as more content is stored
  • NTFS file system (FAT32 file systems not supported)

Connect Enterprise deployment with SSL enabled

Database requirements

Recommended: Microsoft SQL Server 2005 SP2

Minimum: Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Express Edition SP2

Shared storage requirements

For deploying Acrobat Connect Pro Server with network attached storage or storage area networks, the following specifications are recommended:

  • Disk specs: 10,000–15,000 RPM – FibreChannel preferred
  • Network link: TCP/IP – 1GB I/O throughput or better
  • Controller: Dual controllers with "Active/Active" multipatch capability
  • Protocol: CIFS or equivalent

Note that your needs may vary depending on deployment size and usage.

Network requirements Minimum: 100MB
Port requirements 1935 (RTMP), 80 or other HTTP port, 443 if SSL is enabled
LDAP directory servers

For deploying Acrobat Connect Pro Server with directory service integration, any LDAP-compliant directories. The following LDAP directory servers have been tested with Acrobat Connect Pro:

  • Active Directory Application Mode (ADAM) SP1 for Windows 2003
  • Active Directory (Windows Server 2003) Windows 2003 and later
  • Active Directory (Windows 2000 Server)
  • IBM Tivoli Directory Server 6.1

Note: Real-time virus checking on the server is not recommended and, in some circumstances, may prevent Acrobat Connect Pro Server from functioning properly.

Adobe Acrobat Connect Pro Edge Server 7

Adobe Acrobat Connect Pro Add-in for Microsoft Outlook

If you want to schedule Acrobat Connect Pro meetings within Outlook, you must install the Acrobat Connect Add-in for Microsoft Outlook on each system that has Outlook installed. The following hardware and software are required:

Adobe Acrobat Connect Pro Collaboration Builder SDK

To develop applications for use with Adobe Acrobat Connect Pro, you must install the Collaboration Builder MXP plug-in for Flash MX 2004 or Flash 8. The Collaboration Builder SDK system requirements are the same as the requirements for Flash MX 2004 or Flash 8. Collaboration Builder applications should be compiled for Flash Player 7 and ActionScript™ 2.0.

If you are using Collaboration Builder applications in Acrobat Connect Pro, you need to adhere to the standard Acrobat Connect Pro participant requirements.
