Acrobat X Pro can automatically convert paper documents to PDF files with searchable electronic text. Using the software's OCR features, you can save time and money by sharing electronic documents instead of stacks of paper files. Enhanced features now reduce scanned file sizes up to 50%.
After scanning a paper document, you can use the Acrobat Form Wizard to create a fillable PDF form that can be easily distributed, tracked, and analyzed.
When text on a paper document is difficult to read, OCR errors can occur. Enhanced scanning capabilities — including greater image fidelity and automatic color detection — increase recognition accuracy for improved scanning results. Intuitive tools also make it easy to find and replace suspected OCR errors with corrected text.
After turning a scanned document into a searchable PDF file, you can reuse text by exporting it to other file formats, including Microsoft Word or Excel. Acrobat X Pro uses sophisticated conversion technology to preserve as much of the page formatting as possible.
