How it works

Subscription edition of Adobe® Captivate 5.5 software is just like the regular Adobe Captivate 5.5 product — they are installed on your computer and provide all the same features and functionality. Choose a one-year plan for lower payments or a flexible month-to-month plan you can stop and restart as needed. Either way, you'll have ongoing access to the latest version of your software at no extra charge as long as your subscription remains active.

One-year plan
The one-year plan offers lower monthly payments and requires a one-year commitment. This is the ideal plan for someone with an ongoing need to use Adobe Captivate 5.5 software.

Month-to-month plan
The month-to-month plan provides the flexibility of a short-term commitment that allows you to stop and restart your subscription as your business needs change.

The following eLearning products are available from Adobe.com on a subscription basis:

²Subscription accounts can be reactivated within six months of expiration. After six months, your account will be deactivated and you will have to purchase a new subscription.

Start your subscription
To start a subscription, simply choose the subscription option and which plan you want when you purchase your Adobe Captivate 5.5 software on Adobe.com. Download the software and begin using it. Regardless of the plan you choose, your credit card will be charged monthly.

Manage your subscription
Once you purchase your subscription software, you can log into your Adobe account to stop and restart your month-to-month subscription, edit your payment or contact information, or change your subscription plan.

Cancel your subscription
To cancel a month-to-month subscription, log into your Adobe account, go to Manage Your Subscriptions, and follow the onscreen instructions; or contact Adobe Customer Service. To cancel a one-year subscription, you must contact Customer Service.

Your subscription requires agreement to payment terms and conditions, recurring Internet activation, and recurring subscription payments with a valid credit card. Phone activation is not available.

Subscription Terms and Conditions

YEARLY

Your Adobe Captivate 5.5 software one year desktop subscription is billed each month for the duration of your 1-year commitment. Your credit card will be charged each month and you will receive a receipt via email when your card has been charged. If your card cannot be charged, your subscription will be suspended and you will need to update your card information in order to resume use.

Yearly subscription pricing requires a 1 year commitment. If you cancel your subscription, or your subscription is suspended for non-payment, before the end of the 1 year commitment period, you will no longer qualify for yearly subscription pricing and you will be charged the difference between the monthly and yearly commitment pricing for the number of months your subscription was active.

Upon the anniversary of your one-year subscription, your subscription will automatically renew for subsequent one year periods, unless you turn off auto-renewal or cancel your subscription prior to renewal. You will be charged on a monthly basis at the then-current yearly subscription pricing for the renewal period.

You may cancel your subscription at any time by calling Adobe customer service at the number for your region, which you can find here. Subscriptions cancelled within the first 30 days after purchase will be refunded in full.

Adobe may at any time, upon notice required by applicable law, change the price of your subscription or any part thereof, or institute new charges or fees. Price changes and institution of new charges implemented during your one year subscription period will come into effect for any subsequent one year subscription periods and to all new subscribers after the effective date of the change. If you do not agree to any such price changes, then you must cancel your subscription and stop using the software prior to the commencement of the renewal subscription period for which the price change applies.

MONTHLY

Your Adobe Captivate 5.5 software month-to-month desktop subscription renews automatically each month until you cancel. Your credit card will be charged each month and you will receive a receipt via email when your card has been charged. If your card cannot be charged, your subscription will be suspended and you will need to update your card information in order to resume use.

You may cancel your subscription at any time by visiting the My Subscriptions page on Adobe.com or by calling Adobe customer service at the number for your region, which you can find here. Subscriptions cancelled within the first 30 days after purchase will be refunded in full.
