"My favorite time-saver is multi-mode recording. If you have ever created a training video, you know how much time it takes to make only a few minutes of video. Being able to reuse any part of the same or another project is very important. Captivate's new multi-mode recording and re-recording allows you to create once and produce your training video in several modes."

"Captivate 3 has greatly extended its testing capabilities, with randomized questions and answers, as well as question reuse from a question pool. … When you record in Captivate, it now simultaneously creates a demonstration, a software simulation, and an assessment file. Each of these can then be edited and published separately, a terrific time saver."

"Captivate 3 can not only record and create software and scenario-based simulations, but can also create projects by importing PowerPoint presentations and images, or by using a pre-defined template. Users can create a pool of questions that would appear in the recording as short quizzes. This is most helpful in training software since quizzes can be used to test the trainee's comprehension of the material."
