Maya is one of the premier 3D applications available for creation of high end film, video, and real time entertainment content. Maya is available today on Windows, Irix, and Linux. Ashlar-Vellum
Argon v4 - advanced 3D precision modeling specifically created to bring high-end surface NURBS and solid modeling to a price point accessible by the new generation of 3D content creators. Argon is particularly suited to the precise modeling of manufactured objects and structures. With the addition of the Shockwave 3D format, customers can now import their precise designs into Director to create compelling real-product experiences.

Caligari
trueSpace5 is the newest offering from Caligari. trueSpace5 offers features for design markets and 3D Web content creators including NURBS-based modeling tools, physically realistic rendering and advanced surfacing features. An exporter to Director is available as a plug-in.

D Vision Works
D Sculptor is an easy to use image based modeling program that allows the user to make 3D models of real world objects using just a digital camera.

Discreet
Discreet's initiative to bring 3D to the Web includes the support for exporting 3ds max 4 content to Adobe Shockwave Player. The 3ds max r4 and the 3ds max r3 exporters for Director are available for download. In addition, the new Discreet 3D web design software, plasma, enables developers to also export files to Director Shockwave Studio.

MAXON Computer
