When is the next version of Director software expected to be released?
Adobe has not published an official time frame for the next release of Director and generally does not disclose details of new releases more than 30 days before a product is expected to ship. However, our current planning assumption is that the next major release of Director will be announced in February 2008.
What features are included in the next version of Director?
Adobe is in the process of determining which features will be included in the next version of Director.Some of the important features being planned include DirectX9 support, Unicode, an enhanced text engine, bitmap filters, improvements in multi-user support, JavaScript enhancements, improved user interface and development workflows, and support for Microsoft® Vista® and Intel® based Mac computers.
What are Adobe’s long-term plans for Director?
Director is a market-leading product with a loyal and substantial user base. Adobe will continue to invest in Director and develop new releases targeting current and future innovations in multimedia development. Future versions will be rebranded as "Adobe Director." Adobe plans to make Director the preferred environment for games creation and to increase the use of Shockwave Player on computers, consoles, and mobile devices. What is the Google Toolbar?
The Google Toolbar is a free download that adds a Google search box to the Microsoft Internet Explorer web browser. It also includes innovative features that make browsing more efficient, such as a web form filler, a spelling checker, a word translator, and a pop-up blocker.
The Google Toolbar provides customization features that enable users to personalize their browsing experience and share information with friends. Users can add buttons to the Google Toolbar to search their favorite websites, stay up to date on their favorite feeds, and more.
