Dreamweaver does not cut it I installed Dreamweaver 6, hoping for it to have some big improvements. Instead, I found it to be more (over) complicated, and less simple to use. I was unable to see my image files that was initially setup in a javascript showcasing a photo slider. Very disappointed with the latest version. Simplicity is more, and that's not the case with the latest version. 09-May-2013

Great Software for Web Design After years of using Dreamweaver 4.0, we bit the bullet and invested in Dreamweaver CS6. The program allows secure ftp to our web host which is a feature not available in version 4.0. The program is so easy to use with choices of which sidebars to show on the screen, such as CSS styles or properties, or a list of images and files used for each web page. There are many free lessons and videos from Adobe to help with questions. The best feature is the "live view" which shows how a page will look on a desktop monitor vs a laptop vs a tablet vs a smart phone. This is one of the greatest improvements in Dreamweaver. We are novices in the web page programming field. Dreamweaver CS6 is powerful, yet easy to use. 17-April-2013

New Dreamweaver CS6 User As a new user without formal training, the software simply is not user-friendly. Its difficult to pickup on how the programmers are thinking, which is exactly my primary issue with the software. Its built for programmers not end users. It simply not intuitive. To make a website do anything eye catching add-ons "must" be separately located and purchased. Yet another disappointment is error correction. The software identifies at least some weaknesses and gives a reasonable explanation of the problem BUT does not help you correct the problem. You have to be a programmer to correct the issue. In summary, if you are a novice this is NOT the software for you. I should know because I am a novice! It is probably very good for programmers but not for novices. 17-April-2013
