What is Flash Player 7 for Pocket PC?: Flash Player 7 for Pocket PC enables developers and publishers to quickly and easily deploy Flash content and rich internet applications for Windows Mobile 5 and Pocket PC 2003 devices. Developers can view Flash content within Pocket Internet Explorer or full-screen using third-party software, or deploy stand-alone Flash applications, which requires the Distribution Kit.

Which Pocket PC devices does Flash Player 7 for Pocket PC support?: Flash Player for Pocket PC supports any Pocket PC device that runs Windows Mobile 5 or Pocket PC 2003. These include devices from HP, Dell, Toshiba, and others. Visit the Adobe supported devices page. For a full list of Window Mobile supported devices, visit the Microsoft Windows Mobile web site.

Can I still get Flash Player 6 for Pocket PC?: With the introduction of Flash Player 7 for Pocket PC, Flash Player 6 for Pocket PC will no longer be available. Flash Player 7 is backwards compatible with existing Flash content for Pocket PCs.

What version of the Flash authoring tool do I need to create content for Pocket PC?: You can use Flash CS3 Professional, Flash Professional 8, Flash MX Professional 2004, or Flash MX to publish content for Pocket PC devices. Designers and developers can also publish to earlier versions of the SWF file. Flash Professional 8 also provides features for targeting the Pocket PC platform including pre-built design templates that correspond with our Authoring Guidelines to the appropriate Pocket PC screen resolution.

Can developers re-distribute the Flash Player 7 for Pocket PC?: Flash Player 7 for Pocket PC is for testing and development purposes and may not be redistributed, as per the End User License Agreement referenced online. That said, we are exploring alternate distribution models and will provide an update soon.

How can I license the Flash Player 7 for my Pocket PC device?: If you are a Pocket PC manufacturer and would like to distribute a preloaded version of the Flash Player 7 on your device please complete the Flash Player SDK License Request Form.

How can I help let the manufacturer of my PDA device know that I would like to view Flash content on that device?: Feel free to contact the device manufacturer directly to let them know you would like Flash to be supported.
