Capabilities
Deliver high-volume document composition
Adobe® LiveCycle® Production Print ES3 includes a high-performance document composition engine using LiveCycle Designer ES3 templates that easily extends across multiple servers to help ensure high availability and enterprise scalability. Because of its unique architecture, LiveCycle Production Print ES3 lets you deliver complex jobs involving multiple output types simultaneously — without reprocessing jobs. For example, a bank statement can be rendered in AFP format for high-speed printing and simultaneously rendered as a PDF/A file for archiving. Commonly used form letters can be generated once and attached to other jobs during runtime.
Collect and group documents with the postprocessing repository
Using the postprocessing repository, you can collect documents over time, and then sort by postal codes at runtime to take advantage of bulk postage rates or collect multiple account statements and ad hoc communications going to the same household into a single envelope or package. For enterprises with distributed locations, use the postprocessing repository as a centralize store to consolidate information and redirect jobs to the print center closest to the customer to speed delivery.
Optimize finishing for mailroom efficiencies
Based on the criteria you select for sorting and grouping documents in the postprocessing repository, you can automate the printing of special marks that communicate finishing information to operators and mailroom machines such as folders, inserters, and envelopers. Such marks include OMR codes that specify rules for enveloping, barcodes for identifying mail pieces, and text labels to provide instructions for manual handling. You can also manage the logic for including preprinted inserts, such as leaflets or advertising brochures, in a mailing.
Integrate with other LiveCycle modules
By deploying Production Print ES3 in conjunction with other LiveCycle modules, you can extend the functionality of your customer communications solution. For example, use Adobe LiveCycle Rights Management ES3 to create audit trails or dynamically change document policies even after they have been distributed outside the firewall. Or use Adobe LiveCycle Digital Signatures ES3 to provide security outside your core systems. Based on open standards and built on J2EE, LiveCycle modules can be easily integrated with existing enterprise infrastructures.
