Creative license is about finding the boundaries of what you can do. In honor of the launch of Adobe Creative Suite® 3, the editors of JPG Magazine put a call out for submissions representing this theme. They asked their readers to think about creating a photo as a design, composing with lines, patterns, geometry, contrast, saturation, simplicity, and complexity, and to think differently about what photography means and take creative license. The selected photos were published in the September 2007 issue of JPG Magazine.
Wedding & Portrait Photographers International (WPPI), in association with the Rangefinder and AfterCapture publications, spoke with several influential photographers in late March 2007. Listen to these leading photographers discuss how they implement their own creative license — and bring to life their vision using the infinite options, styles, and genres available to them.
