No. Adobe Revel is designed to let you see your entire photo library on your iPad or iPhone without using up all the storage space on those devices. Revel uses as little storage space as possible so you have more space for music, movies, and other apps.
All the photos you import into Adobe Revel — including photos from your iPad and iPhone — are stored in a special folder on your Mac's hard drive. Revel also creates copies of your photos and stores them in the secure cloud. This enables you to see all your photos on your iPad, iPhone, and Mac without having to sync or use up storage on your mobile devices.
No. Only you and the people you invite can access your photo library. See Adobe's online privacy policy for more detailed information.
When you share a carousel with someone, you are giving that person complete access to your carousel. This means the person can access your photos, import new photos, adjust photos, delete photos, and share photos to Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, and Flickr. In essence, the person can do everything you can do, which means you should be very careful when choosing people with whom to share your carousels. It is recommended that you share your carousels only with people you trust, such as family members or close friends.
Yes. Adobe Revel is virtually the same app on your iPad, iPhone, and Mac. You get the same experience and the same photo editing tools on all your Apple devices, which makes learning easy. So pick up any device you want and start making your photos look their best.

No. When you share a carousel with someone, that person is covered by your subscription. This means that person can view, import, adjust, share, and delete any of the photos in the photo carousel you shared without having to buy his or her own subscription. The only things that person can't do are create a new photo carousel, delete a photo carousel, and invite people to join a photo carousel.

If you want Adobe Revel to be able to import the photos stored in your device's photo library, Apple requires that Location Services be turned on. Revel does not track your location; rather, by turning on Location Services, you grant permission for Revel to read from the photo library on your iPad or iPhone. To manually enable Location Services, go to Settings > General and turn Location Services on.
Revel is available worldwide and supports English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese, Japanese, and Korean.
Not just another cloud service, Adobe Revel consists client applications that run locally on each device, and these client apps are connected to each other via a content-aware, mesh technology in the cloud. What that means is that your photo library is always up to date across all devices that have Revel installed. That’s your entire library, not just the most recent 30 days of photos, and you don’t have to worry about manual syncing. Also, this means when you team up with friends and family on a library of photos, everyone can use their own computer or devices. The mesh technology works behind the scenes to make all this possible. Revel isn’t just a bunch of disparate apps, nor is it just a service. It’s all intertwined. That’s how we’re able to give you the connectedness of an online service and the smooth UI and powerful image editing capabilities of native apps.
See the Adobe Revel tech specs for detailed system requirements.
Customers have told us that it’s important to them that they keep their original photos on their computers. Adobe Revel keeps a local copy of all your photo files on your Mac computer. The Revel library resides in your pictures folder. Your originals are also replicated to Adobe servers in the cloud and protected by your Adobe ID. That way, your photos are accessible on the other devices on which you have Adobe Revel installed, and your desktop computer doesn’t have to be turned on or be nearby.
On your tablet and smartphone, Revel loads thumbnails and proxies of your photos for viewing and only downloads a full-res original when you want to edit a photo. That way, Revel always moves the smallest bits possible so there's no negative impact to device storage or bandwidth.
Yes. To clear the cache, launch Adobe Revel, tap the gear button, and select the photo carousel with the cache you want to clear. Tap the Clear Cache option to remove all of the images stored in the Revel cache for that photo carousel. This action will not delete the photos in the carousel itself.
