Application: Anatomy Revealed - Face

Anatomy Revealed's straightforward designs allow medical students and instructors to investigate and identify muscle, nerve and bone structure of a lifelike human face through dissection, imaging and animation. Smooth video on case studies of two major facial nerve disorders give students the opportunity to view the real-life effects and treatment of these two ailments. In addition, an interactive, timed post-exam allows students to identify 70 different parts of the face.

Using an interactive problem-based learning approach, Alien Rescue engages students in scientific investigations aimed at finding solutions to complex situations. By gathering multimedia based information about science, the Solar System and the tools humans use to explore it, students use their knowledge to find a home for Earth's new visitors.

As a producer for Earth Trails Productions, the user has several assignments to explore the virtual Mississippi River environment, collect multimedia assets, and create multimedia reports based on the needs of the company's clients.

Application: The Immersive Virtual Environment Exhibit

Geoffrey Bruce developed Journey to the Planets as a permanent exhibit for the San Jose Technical Museum of Innovation. This training application synchronizes three projection panels to simulate planetary environments. The touch screen panel will allow users to choose and virtually travel to any destination within the Solar System.

TangoNet is a reality-based e-learning simulation tool designed to help participants develop a common business language and understand what they need to do to attract and retain the right employees and best customers. Participants develop a business plan and test their ability to execute it in a highly competitive simulation. Your company's market value increases or decreases depending on how well you do your job. By using Director and Macromedia Flash, Celemi ties together an intuitive interface, crisp graphics and smooth animations to support the complex infrastructure of the application.

Application: Wireless Communications: New Tools and Technologies

WatchIT.com brings a new approach to nonlinear instructional design for this type of training application, which introduces executives to wireless technologies. WatchIT.com uses Director templates to merge a creative interface, seamless video presentations and a synchronized, hyperlinked transcript of the instruction. The ability of Director to export custom files allows the user to take and save notes on pertinent information to recall at a later time during the instruction. In addition, glossaries pretests and posttests help support the users training experience.
