Macromedia Flash MX for eLearning

Macromedia Flash MX allows you to quickly and easily create effective, compelling e-learning content that is based on standards, measures learner performance, and tracks results. Content can be delivered on the web, local network or intranet, CD-ROM or DVD-ROM, set-top box, or handheld or mobile device. Macromedia Flash MX also serves as a great front end to dynamic learning applications that use application server technologies such Macromedia ColdFusion to deliver personalized learning experiences.

Macromedia Flash MX includes six built-in learning interactions, including quiz templates and stand-alone interactions, to help you quickly build interactive courseware. These include true/false, multiple-choice, fill-in-the-blank, drag-and-drop, hot spot, and hot object interactions. Each type of learning interaction has unique parameters that determine how the interaction appears to the learner. You can customize the interaction interface to meet your needs, which gives you generous design flexibility without requiring you to write any code.

Each individual Macromedia Flash learning interaction can send tracking information to a server-side learning management system (LMS). Additionally, the quiz templates track cumulative results from a sequence of interactions and can pass them along to the LMS using an enhanced data tracking functionality that conforms to Shareable Content Object Reference Model (SCORM) and AICC standards.

Macromedia Flash MX also allows you to create content that includes interactive streaming video, animation, audio, vector graphics, and bitmap graphics to create high-impact learning applications. Integration of multiple media types can provide powerful enhancements to learning applications, engaging participants and increasing learner retention.

Macromedia Flash MX content can be viewed globally with support for 11 languages, vertical text, and Unicode standards. You can also make learning content accessible by adding descriptive text to animations and user interface elements that enable users with assistive technologies such as screen readers to navigate and experience learning content.
