Student Innovation Award

Our contest is now closed! We apologize for the delay in selecting winners and thank you for your patience. The winners will be announced here July 15th.

Categories
Macromedia will choose winners in two categories:

Best Portfolio Design:
Is your website designed to display yours or someone else’s web designs, interactive media, art, photography, drawings or other creations? Then your site qualifies as a Portfolio.
Best Focused Website:
If you have a purpose for your website, whether it is to teach a concept, share information, sell a product, or play a game, your website qualifies as a Focused website. This category encompasses all entries that are not Portfolios.

Criteria
Macromedia will choose winners in two age groups: (1) Grades 8 –12, and (2) College/University students. Designs should demonstrate an overall visual concept, an intuitive navigation scheme, and a high quality of execution. Each website will be judged based on the following criteria:

Creativity and Ingenuity: Is the entry creative, unique, and inventive? Does the entry employ interesting interactive or user interface techniques?

Design and Functionality: Does the entry achieve its goals? Is the entry intuitive to use? Does the entry allow the user to do something? Can the user give and receive information?

Theme and Content: Is there a consistent graphic identity scheme? Does the entry effectively use space and movement? Does the content fit the design?

Technical Achievement: Does the entry maximize or extend the use of the Macromedia tool? Does the entry make use of multiple media types and promote user interactivity?

Contest judges include experts in design, content, and Internet technology. Submit your entry online now.
