This phase is about launching your site, and what you
need to think about before, during and after the site
goes live. It is also about picking up the loose ends
before you move into the next phases of development.
You have completed the QA process—instead of reacting
and fixing haphazardly, plan to create a list and schedule
to prioritize the post-launch fixes. This stage is also
about handing off the site—whether you are an external
development team handing off to the client company or
an internal team preparing for continuing maintenance—and
making sure that there is a proper ‘package’
for handoff. Also, we will discuss how to announce your
site, including resources and links you can use to help
generate awareness both online and offline.
