Prelude CC is a video ingest and logging tool designed to help you to get organized, work faster, and streamline your production process. Easily ingest file-based footage and transcode to nearly any format, and rename clips. Add key metadata during ingest using templates you create. Save time by using an intuitive, keyboard-driven workflow to enter temporal markers and other searchable metadata, keeping your eyes on what's important: the footage. With the ability to work with growing files in real time, Prelude accelerates your editing workflow by letting you log right from the start of an event.

Prelude CC makes ingest, verification, and logging of video footage more efficient with a simple user interface. Prelude allows you to add direction and organizational comments to specific footage by tagging media and creating rough cuts that flow into Adobe Premiere Pro. In one intuitive environment, Prelude provides tools that make it simple and fast to ingest file-based footage. It also helps ensure the entry and flow of metadata throughout production so you can work on projects more efficiently, better manage your digital footage, and complete productions quickly. Metadata entered in Prelude is carried into Adobe Premiere Pro, allowing frame-accurate communication of key information throughout the workflow. Prelude is an open platform that supports customized integration with third-party technologies and management systems. With an interface that's easy to use even for staff who are unfamiliar with nonlinear editing systems, Prelude is perfect for environments where editors collaborate with producers and assistants.

If a format can't be logged by Prelude, you can use the transcode feature in the Prelude ingest dialog box to convert the clip to a format supported for logging.
