The Position tool in Adobe InDesign CS2 is a handy way to crop graphics by adjusting the frame containing the graphic, and then moving the graphic within the frame without changing tools. To select the Position tool, put the pointer over the Direct Selection tool in the toolbox, and hold down the mouse button. When the Position tool appears, select the tool. Select the frame of the graphic that you want to crop. (Make sure you select the frame and not the graphic itself.) Place the Position tool over any handle on the frame and drag until only the part of the graphic you want in your document remains.
When you select an article box in an Adobe PDF file, handles will appear at the sides in Adobe Acrobat 7.0. Drag the handles to resize the box. You can also drag the entire article box to another location on the page. The content on the page and the article box aren’t one and the same—article boxes “float” over the page and display whatever page content is enclosed within the box. If you add an article thread and want to change its order, shift the location of the boxes on the page.
