HOW Design Conference
June 12–15
Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino
Las Vegas, Nevada

Serving pros and students alike, the HOW Design Conference is one of the largest and best attended creative confabs in the world. Rub shoulders with peers and potential employers while taking in sessions on everything from digital photography and custom type to business tips and professional portfolio reviews. This year’s conference takes place in Las Vegas, but don’t expect to see too much of Sin City’s famous nightlife. Serious conference-goers can attend seminars from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. As a result, the HOW Design Conference promises to give one of the most comprehensive overviews of the field today. And if that isn’t enough, every attendee also walks away with a free year’s subscription to HOW magazine. All in all, it just might be the best thing since sliced images.

New galleries and a new partner
Never standing still, Adobe Stock Photos has two important announcements this month. First, to help intrigue and inspire creative pros, our team has handpicked some of our most arresting images and brought them together in five new galleries. Themes include Global Portraits, Urban Buzz, Urban Illustration, Object Lessons, and Textures & Patterns. To find them, first launch Adobe Bridge (Alt-Ctrl-O [Windows] or Option-Command-O [Mac OS] from any CS2 application). Then select the Favorites tab and choose Adobe Stock Photos. In the Stock Photos window, the Galleries link can be found under the headline.

We are also pleased to announce the addition of BananaStock to our ever-growing royalty-free collection of more than 650,000 images. BananaStock brings powerful images featuring African-American and Hispanic people. Many also highlight health, education, and social issues.
