Step 1 Click the Canvas Size button and increase the height and width of your document by about 0.5 inches.

Step 2 Click the Select Rectangle button and drag a box around most of the photo, leaving the outer portion outside the selection.

Step 3 Click the Invert Selection button to automatically select the outer portion of your photo.

Step 4 Click the button to apply the Ripple effect to the selected portion of your photo.
