Before you start, make sure your identification is listed below in acceptable forms of academic identification and that you are qualified to purchase an education product - see who qualifies to purchase below.

Step 1

Scan your academic identification and save the file as a .PDF, .JPG or .GIF file. These are the only accepted formats. All forms of verification must be clearly legible and at a minimum, true to size.

Step 2

Sign in to the Adobe Customer Support Portal using the same Adobe ID used to place the order, and follow directions to submit your copy of your academic identification online. You will be asked to enter your Adobe Store order number, which will be located on the store thank you page and your order acknowledgement e-mail message.

Who qualifies to purchase from the education online store Australia?

Adobe Student and Teacher Editions

Eligible individuals:

  • University and college students — students enrolled at a higher education institution defined as an accredited public or private university or college (including community, junior, or vocational college) that grants degrees requiring not less than the equivalent of two years of full-time study
  • Primary and secondary school students — students enrolled at an accredited public or private primary or secondary school providing full-time instruction
  • Faculty and staff — teachers and staff employed by an accredited primary or secondary school or public or private university or college

Individuals not eligible for Student Editions:

  • Students not currently enrolled at an accredited educational institution
  • Students who are not willing or able to provide appropriate identification
  • Other unqualified examples as listed by Adobe from time to time on its Internet website

Education versions: for educational institutions, faculty, staff, teachers, and students

Eligible individuals:

  • Full- or part-time faculty and staff employed by accredited educational institutions
  • Higher education students: full-or part-time students enrolled at a higher education institution, defined as an accredited public or private university or college that grants degrees requiring not less than the equivalent of two (2) years of full-time study or accredited private or public primary or secondary school providing full-time instruction.
  • Primary and secondary school students: students enrolled at an accredited public or private primary or secondary school providing full-time instruction
  • Other qualified examples as listed by Adobe from time to time on its Internet website or in other written communication

Individuals not eligible for education versions:

  • Faculty and staff not currently employed at an accredited educational institution that grants degrees requiring not less than the equivalent of two (2) years of full-time study
  • Students not currently enrolled at an accredited educational institution
  • Students, faculty or staff who are not willing or able to provide appropriate identification
  • Students, faculty, or staff enrolled at or employed by named educational entities; examples include hospitals, higher education research laboratories and educational consortia
  • Other unqualified examples as listed by Adobe from time to time on its Internet website

Acceptable forms of academic identification

Student requirements

  1. Valid, current student ID that includes name, date, and a photo.
  2. If the student does not have a current student ID with name date and photo, the student must instead provide a valid, photo ID, and corroborating evidence of current enrollment:

    • Official, current non-photo student ID with name and date or
    • Official, current school transcript indicating name of school and student or
    • Official, current school tuition bill indicating name of school and student or
    • Official, current report card indicating name of school and student or
    • Other official dated proof of enrollment to Adobe's satisfaction
  3. If student is under the age of 18 and does not have a valid, current student ID with photo or credit card, the person purchasing the product for the student must provide a valid, current photo ID and corroborating evidence of student’s eligibility:

    • Official, current non-photo student ID with name and date or
    • Official, current school transcript indicating name of school and student or
    • Official, current school tuition bill indicating name of school and student or
    • Official, current report card indicating name of school and student

Teaching staff requirements

  • A valid, photo ID, and corroborating evidence of employment at a qualified educational institution or
  • Official, current education institution paycheck copy or
  • Official letter on educational institution letterhead verifying person’s employment
