Site samples
Whether you’re new to Web publishing or simply want to get a head start on a tricky project, be sure to explore the dozens of site and page templates included with the application. To preview and access sample pages and sites, browse the Site section of the New dialog box (File > New). Here are a few highlights:
- Web samples: Choose from several themed concept sites designed for a music DJ, a landscaping company, a magazine, a moderated list for a wireless company, or a personal-style writer’s blog.

- Mobile samples: Among these complete mobile sites, choose from themes such as an intranet site for an advertising agency, a collaborative creative writing site, a designer’s portfolio, a feature film microsite, a traveller’s translation utility site, and even a wine lover’s guide site.

- Scripting samples: Guestbook and online shopping templates are simple file-based sites based on PHP dynamic publishing solutions.
- Co-Author samples: Get up and running in Co-Author with two sample templates one for a simple blog site and the other for a city guide travel site.
- Further samples: View eight additional templates, from a simple company intranet design to an online newsletter to a school Web site.
Web page samples
Don’t need a complete Web site template? Within the Web section of the New dialog box, you can also access samples for individual HTML pages.
- CSS samples: Choose from ten different CSS-based pages, based on themes for bands, a writer’s blog, a clothing company, a coffee shop, a design company, a music store, and even a sushi bar.
- Table-based samples: Among the 56 table-based page samples, you’ll find convenient layouts for creating Web photo galleries, slide shows, interactive forms, video pop-ups, and business charts.

- Blog samples: Seven different samples are available for quick customization and use with the Six Apart Movable Type and TypePad authoring modules included in GoLive CS2.

Mobile samples
Create XHTML, MMS, WML, and even i-Mode pages in record time with preconfigured documents, CSS blocks, an SVG sample, and seven different ringtones.
Actions
GoLive Actions are ready-to-use JavaScripts that enable you to easily add interactivity to your Web pages. Actions allow you to create dramatic page effects, from mouse-overs to pop-up windows, without complex programming. GoLive CS2 provides a complete set of prebuilt actions that can be used to control interactivity, manage cookies, detect browsers, and much more.
The Actions palette (Window > Actions) contextually displays the appropriate actions set, depending on your project needs. For complete details, consult the Help system in GoLive CS2.
Also, be sure to check out the GoLive Actions area of Adobe Studio Exchange, where you can download hundreds of custom actions or even post your own to share with the community.
Extensions
GoLive Extensions add advanced functionality to the GoLive authoring environment, from new Objects to entirely new commands, menus, and palettes. You can add and customize GoLive features by using either premade extensions or the GoLive Extend Script Software Development Kit (SDK). The GoLive Extend Script SDK provides tools and samples that let you customize the features and user interface of GoLive. You can create an Extend Script extension by simply developing a Web page with familiar GoLive tools.
Adobe Studio Exchange contains hundreds of extensions available for download.
