Preview your project

Mouse-Over Text   Preview

Overview

To know how your project appears to users when it is played, you can preview the project before publishing it.

Preview helps you spot obvious gaps in workflows, slide transitions, timing of objects, and audio-slide or video-slide synchronization issues.

For simple projects, you can choose to play the entire project during preview. For complex projects, you can choose to preview only a specific slide or a set of slides to refine the workflow and interactivity. See link for more information on using various preview options for complex projects.

Procedure

  1. In the main menu, click File > Preview.

Preview option in the File menu

  2. Select Project.
  3. After the preview, click ‘X’ at the right top corner to close the preview window and return to Adobe Captivate.

Summary

The Preview feature in Adobe Captivate helps you get a feel for the final output of your project. It is a good practice to preview your project before publishing it. More often than not, you may have to preview your project many times, intermittently during the development phases if it includes many interactive objects.
