Adobe Captivate provides a number of preview options using which you can preview the entire project, or limit your preview to the current slide or to a specific set of slides. You can choose the preview options based on the complexity of your projects.

The complexity of an Adobe Captivate project depends on the following factors:

  • The number and dimension of slides
  • The type of objects on these slides (such as, interactive objects and variables)
  • The number and size of images, audio, and video files

So, in a nutshell, a 1 minute movie with 50 slides can be equally complex compared to a 2 min-100 slides one.

For simple projects, you can choose to play the entire project during preview. For complex projects, you can choose to preview only a specific slide or a set of slides to refine the workflow and interactivity.
