Instructor Certification for Adobe Premiere Pro

Adobe Premiere Pro has a required curriculum based on Adobe Premiere Pro Classroom in a book. There is a special instructor certification process that you must pass before you can claim you are certified to teach Adobe Premiere Pro. The steps for becoming an Adobe Certified Instructor (ACI) for Adobe Premiere Pro include:

  • pass the appropriate product exam
  • attend a Train the Trainer (T3) class for Adobe Premiere Pro
  • pass a stand up certification
  • complete the online ACI application

These steps are further defined below:

Steps for Adobe Premiere Pro Certification

  1. Pass the current Adobe Certified ACE exam for Adobe Premiere Pro.  The Adobe Certified Expert (ACE) demonstrates advanced, professional-level skills with Adobe Premiere Pro. ACE certification is recognized worldwide as a standard for Adobe software expertise. To become an ACE, you must pass the product-specific proficiency exam and agree to the ACE terms and conditions. Professionals are invited to take the Adobe Certified Expert Exam available through Pearson VUE. To find a testing center near you, visit Pearson VUE’s website.
  2. Download and submit the Premiere Pro Instructor Questionnaire, detailing your experience with the product and technology. An Adobe representative will then contact you with instructions on how to register to attend the class you wish to teach.
  3. Attend the Train the Trainer (T3) class for Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 or later with Future Media Concepts (FMC). FMC is an Adobe partner and sponsors multiple T3 classes.   4. Pass a stand up certification with an Adobe Master Instructor as part of the T3 training session. Adobe will notify you of the outcome of your stand up certification and final steps to become an Adobe Certified Instructor (ACI).
  5. Complete ACI application, if you are not already an active Adobe Certified Instructor.
  6. Your ACI application will be processed within two weeks. Email notification will be sent to you on the status of your application. 

* If the Adobe Certified exam for the product is not yet available, you can obtain Provisional certification pending the release of the exam, you will have 90 days to pass the exam after its release to maintain your certification.
