Performing mesh deformation

Mesh deformation changes a 3D model's geometry by distorting it in various ways. This is often done with a mathematical operation that you define. By manipulating the vector list of a model and applying the newly modified vector list to the model, you can achieve a wide variety of visual effects.

This article covers the following topics:

Mesh deformation overview
Turning off the LOD modifier
Adding the mesh deform modifier
Modifying the vector list
Applying the modified vertices
