This project lets you build a chat in about 5 minutes using Director. The sample movie provided for this project has all the graphics and buttons that you need to complete a chat application. Later, you can use Director to customize the movie with your own graphics and sounds.

To build a chat, you launch a server application that supports the chat and then set up a Shockwave chat movie that communicates with the server. Finally, you can create copies of the movie in separate browsers and have them chat with each other.
