Drivers and Graphics Cards Tested by Macromedia For Shockwave 3D
Following is a list of all graphics cards and drivers tested by Macromedia QA. Being on this list does not guarantee that all combinations of a driver or graphics card will be supported. See the Unsupported Drivers List (UDL), for drivers Macromedia has tested and concluded will not be supported. Drivers on the Unsupported Driver List will cause the preferred renderer to default to #software mode despite the setting assigned during authoring.

95: 4.12.01.1225(v3-w9x-1.07.00) all pass except for OpenGL which was N/A 98: 4.12.01.1225(v3-w9x-figs-1.05.00.exe) OpenGL pass, Dx5/7 N/A ME: 4.12.01.1225(v3-w9x-1.07.00) all pass except for OpenGL which was N/A NT4: 4.00.1381.0391 (external v3-wnt4-figs-1.04.00.exe) - OpenGL UDL'ed W2K: 5.00.2195.0232 (external v3-w2k-1.03.00.exe) - All renderers UDL'ed (SCR 3985) |
Voodoo 3 is a completely Unsupported Driver. DH 4/11/01: It seems as if the v3-w9x-1.07.00.exe driver returns an internal version stamp of 4.12.01.1225 for the AGP version but 4.12.01.0666 for the PC. Currently 4.12.01.1225 is UDL'ed for Dx7 only - it's wildcarded, so it will catch 4.12.01.0666 as well. |
| Voodoo Banshee | Voodoo Banshee |
95: 4.10.01.0232-1.00 hard to tell from NTSXXCAL but it looks bad 98: vb-w98-figs-1.04.00.exe - all pass ME: 4.10.01.0206 no OpenGL, DirextX 5/7 pass NT4: no info 2K: 5.00.2195.2b vb-w2k-1.02.02-beta.exe crashes browser (SCR 3784) OpenGL UDL'ed |
2K: although the newest driver is bad an older driver (5.00.2180.58) seems to be fine. See SCR 3784. |
