Installation Instructions

After downloading a ".zip" file, use the operating system or a utility such as WinZip or PKZIP to access the file's contents.

1. Follow the instructions provided with the scanner to install the scanner's ISIS driver.
2. Download and decompress the acromess.zip file.
3. Enter Windows NT. For instructions, refer to page 18 of the Adobe Acrobat Messenger 1.0 Administrator Guide.
4. Navigate to the C:\Program Files\Adobe\Messenger 1.0\Acroscan folder. (If Messenger was not installed in the default location, navigate to the Acroscan folder in the folder you specified when installing Messenger.)
5. Replace the ScanTest.ini file included in the acromess.zip file with the ScanTest.ini file in the Acroscan folder.
6. Add a scanner-specific file to the Acroscan folder:
- If you use the Fujitsu ScanPartner 620, add the AcroScanOptionsSP620C.txt file.
- If you use the Fujitsu M3091DCd , add the AcroScanOptionsM3091.txt file.

Additional notes

To test Acrobat Messenger's connection to the scanner, do the following:
1. Enter Windows NT. For instructions, refer to page 18 of the Adobe Acrobat Messenger 1.0 Administrator Guide.
2. Choose Start > Programs > Adobe > Acrobat Messenger > Select Scanner
3. Select the scanner from the pop-up menu.
4. Click Test.
5. If the test succeeded, click OK.
6. Return to Acrobat Messenger. For instructions, refer to page 18 the Adobe Acrobat Messenger 1.0 Administrator Guide.
