Publication Converter plug-in update (August 2001) -- English

This archive contains an updated version of the Publication Converter plug-in that originally shipped with Adobe PageMaker 7.0, English only. Adobe recommends that you download and install this updated version, which resolves the following problem:

-- When you attempt to batch-convert Adobe PageMaker 6.5x publications to 7.0 using the Publication Converter plug-in, your PageMaker 6.5x files are no longer deleted. The plug-in has been modified so that you cannot select 6.5x files to convert, as the plug-in was not designed to convert this version. With the updated plug-in, if you try to search for PageMaker 6.5x publication or template files to convert, you will receive the following error message: "Cannot convert *.p65/*.t65 files." The Publication Converter is not designed to convert PageMaker 6.5x files to 7.0. It is designed to convert PageMaker 4.0-6.0 files to 6.5 files only. PageMaker 7.0 can open PageMaker 6.5 files natively.
