Adobe Photoshop Elements Pentium 4 update

This collection of revised plug-ins for Adobeᆴ Photoshopᆴ Elements offers enhanced performance on Intelᆴ Pentiumᆴ 4 processor-based systems.

This update includes four separate files:

ユ MMXCore.8bx contains new performance enhancements for Pentium 4 systems and all existing enhancements for other Pentium-class systems that use MMX technology.

ユ LightingEffects.8bf includes all of the functionality of the existing Lighting Effects plug-in, as well as additional enhancements for Pentium 4 systems.

ユ Shear.8bf resolves an out-of-memory condition.

ユ Plugin.dll resolves problems with plug-ins that do not use multiple processors.

These plug-ins replace the existing plug-ins of the same names installed with Photoshop Elements.

System requirements

Installation Instructions

After downloading a ".zip" file, use the operating system or a utility such as WinZip or PKZIP to access the file's contents.

1. Quit Photoshop Elements.
2. Move the MMXCore.8bx plug-in from the Adobe\Photoshop Elements\Plug-Ins\Extensions folder to the desktop.
3. Move the LightingEffects.8bf and Shear.8bf plug-ins from the Adobe\Photoshop Elements\Plug-Ins\Filters folder to the desktop.
4. Move Plugin.dll from the Adobe\Photoshop Elements\Plug-Ins\Libraries folder to the desktop.

NOTE: It is important that all of these old files be moved outside of the application folder.

5. Copy the new MMXCore.8bx plug-in to the Adobe\Photoshop Elements\Plug-Ins\Extensions folder.
6. Copy the new LightingEffects.8bf and Shear.8bf plug-ins to the Adobe\Photoshop Elements\Plug-Ins\Filters folder.
7. Copy the new Plugin.dll to the Adobe\Photoshop Elements\Plug-Ins\Libraries folder.
8. Restart Photoshop Elements.
