Adobe Acrobat 5.0.10 update - multiple languages

The Adobeᆴ Acrobatᆴ 5.0.10 update addresses a buffer overflow issue in Adobe Acrobat 5.0 and 5.0.5 and provides improved security.

This multilingual update can be applied to any language version of Adobe Acrobat 5.0.5 except Japanese, Chinese Simplified, Chinese Traditional and Korean. Users of Japanese, Chinese Simplified, Chinese Traditional and Korean versions of Acrobat 5-5.0.5 refer to the Adobe Acrobat 5.0.10 Annotations Plug-in. Adobe highly recommends that all users of Adobe Acrobat 5.0 or 5.0.5 apply this update as a proactive measure.

System requirements

This update requires that Adobe Acrobat 5.0.5 is installed on your system. To find out which version of Adobe Acrobat you currently have, choose Acrobat > About Acrobat. The version number appears in the upper left corner below the Adobe Acrobat logo.

Users of Japanese, Chinese Simplified, Chinese Traditional and Korean versions of Acrobat 5-5.0.5 refer to the Adobe Acrobat 5.0.10 Annotations Plug-in. All other users can update the product to version 5.0.10 using the following steps:

If your current version is Acrobat 5.0.5, apply the Acrobat 5.0.10 update by downloading the file.

If your current version is Acrobat 5.0, apply the Acrobat 5.0.5 update and then apply the Adobe Acrobat 5.0.10 update by downloading the file.

Please note that the Acrobat 5.0.5 updates are different for each language and can be obtained from Acrobat Mac updates.

Installation Instructions

After downloading a ".bin" file on a Macintosh, double-click on the ".bin" file. Or, use StuffIt Expander by Allume Systems, Inc. to access the file's contents. StuffIt Expander is available as a freeware product.
