Adobe Premiere Elements 2.0 PlayerStandard plug-in update for PAL users - English

This update addresses and resolves a problem detected in the Adobe® Premiere® Elements 2.0 PlayerStandard plug-in. After the PlayerStandard plug-in update is installed, projects exported to tape in PAL format from Adobe Premiere Elements 2.0 software will retain their audio when recaptured.

It is recommended that anyone who works in PAL format install this update. The update does not address any other issues or add any new features.

System requirements

This update requires an installed copy of Adobe Premiere Elements 2.0.

Installation Instructions

After downloading a ".zip" file, use the operating system or a utility such as WinZip or PKZIP to access the file's contents.

1. After you have downloaded the ZIP file, make sure you extract the contents to a folder that you can easily find. When the extraction is done, open the folder and select the file PlayerStandard.prm. Choose Edit > Copy.
2. Open the Adobe Premiere Elements 2.0 Plug-ins folder. The default location of this folder is C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Premiere Elements 2.0\Plug-ins.
3. Open the "en_US" language folder.
4. Once you have opened the language folder, choose Edit > Paste.
5. Click Yes when asked if you would like to replace the existing file.

Additional notes

Note that other Adobe applications, such as Adobe Audition®, Adobe Encore® DVD, and Adobe Premiere Pro software, also use versions of the PlayerStandard plug-in. Do not replace the PlayerStandard plug-in for those applications with this update.
