Cross-Platform PageMaker Converter 1.0 -- English

The Cross-Platform PageMaker Converter lets you quickly convert publications and templates created in Adobe PageMaker 5.x and 6.0x for MacOS to PageMaker 6.0 for Windows. After converting the publications, you can open them in PageMaker 6.5 for Windows.

You can convert one MacOS publication at a time, or batch convert a group of publications at once. The amount of time it takes to convert a publication depends on your computer configuration, network activity, and on the size and complexity of the publication.

Installation Instructions

After downloading a ".exe" file in Windows, double-click on the ".exe" file to access the file's contents.

1. Drag the Cross-Platform Converter (MacOS to Windows) folder to a desired location on the hard drive of your Windows computer.
2. Double-click the XPMConv.exe file to start the Cross-Platform PageMaker Converter.

This archive contains a 5-page User Guide in Adobe Portable Document Format. The User Guide provides details on using the Cross-Platform PageMaker Converter. To view this User Guide, you will need to install Adobe Acrobat Exchange 3.0 or later or Adobe Acrobat Reader 3.0 or later. Acrobat Reader 3.0 is included on the PageMaker 6.5 CD-ROM.

The Cross-Platform Converter (MacOS to Windows) folder contains the application (Xpmconv.exe), the online Help file (Xpmconv.hlp), and supporting files (Aldfs32.dll, Aldvm32.dll, Impct9.flt, Isgdi32.dll, Mfc42.dll, Msvcirt.dll, Msvcrt.dll, and Pict2mf32.dll).
